Do many organizations use Wardley Maps these days?

I don't know the amount of organizations.

The community is small, and I would say we are around the 1.000-10.000 of practitioners, and maybe around the 10.000-100.000 of people that can read a map.

Yes, that's normal. Too many concepts at first. A simplified version is https://userneedsmapping.com/ .

But when I do consulting, I apply several of the Wardley mapping concepts without mentioning it. The principles and patterns apply, but it is easier for me to adapt those to their language than teaching Wardley Mapping as part of the consulting engagement.

Sometimes, there are people that know the tool, and then we use it, but it is only a nice to have.
